clubs for a tall guy

i went golfing the other day for only the third time in my life, and i loved it, now i want some clubs. problem is im 6'7" tall. anyway, i go online looking for clubs and they tell me that an extra 1 inch in the shaft length is enough for me. but for guys who are 6'1" it tells me the same thing. ive been looking around and can't tell if 1 inch is the standard "tall guy" club or if that is what i need.

so my question is, should i just get the inch longer or find a custom set with 2 inches + extra length in the shaft

It really depends on both your swing type and the length of your arms. You should go to a golf pro and ask him what fits you, but I bet 1" will be enough.

You should be fitted but one of our pros stand 6'8" and he uses 1 1/4 in long shafts and 4 degrees upright.
