My home course,...foreclosed!

theres a big note on the door...."CLOSED"....."THIS PROPERTY HAS BEEN FORECLOSE ON BY THE BANK OF SO AND SO".............WTH?!.......rumor has it that they owed the bank something like 150,000.00!.....couldnt make their payment and were real behind. They tried to do several changes to the golf course, move some greens, put in some new bridges, take out some trees, make some improvements,......but they tried to do sooooo much at one time. they ran out of money and so many things were 1/2 done or 3/4 done......looked kinda bad there for a while.....so some people stopped playing there and now they're bellied up!.

now my only two choices is a 9 hole cow pasture and a richy, crappy green, cost too much to play course that I hate......unless I want to drive an hour.

Sorry to hear that man. That sucks. I complain about the lack of courses and/or being able to get on but I guess I have it pretty good in comparison. Hopefully someone will snap it up and do something with it. I know in my area I thought the recession would mean less people at the courses. It's been quite the opposite really. I think a lot of older guys bought the season passes and just said "give me a tee time for 9am every day ... till I croak.".

My buddies and I have been doing weekly carpools to various courses in Rochester (about 60-80 minute trip) and it's a blast. The last 2 courses we played were probably the 2 nicest courses I've ever played. Wayne Hills CC in Lyons, NY has an incredible 7th hole. I'll post a picture here soon, as I've got several on my camera.

Wanye Hills was 35$ a man for 18, cart included. Go to golflink.com and use the course locator to scope out some possibilities.

I know I'm just a silly shit for even thinking this, and an even bigger one for disclosing it, but . . .
