I read an article on geoff ogilvy where he or his coach stated that his swing by itself doesnt have enough speed. However, he has an action that is very risky but quite rewarding if timed properly. He turns his wrists over quickly(the A.J. Bonar method for those familiar with.) and supposedly it can add as much as 15 mph to the swing. Which apparently equates to roughly 2.5 yards per mph... You do the math. Alas, I believe this could be a fairly easy way to give horrid ian baker finchian hooks if not timed right.
