Match Play Tips

Well, I won the first round of our club championship 9 and 7. Although it was a solid win, I realized I've never really played match play and I didn't know what I was doing.

Any tips, ideas, strange rules, etc to help me in the next round? The guy I play next shots a lower hdcp then me, so I'll really have to play well.
