Geewilikers I f i recall you are showing a swing video of Tiger Woooo hitting a 2 iron witch will need a sweeping motion as in any other long iron from 4 iron and up. Plus golf is a game of misses and it appears that Tiger Wooo has ever so slightly missed this 2 iron . You are also judging your theory off of 1 particular stroke of a long iron . My opinion was based on a WEDGE shot so go to you tube and find 3 different videos of three different players hitting an 8 i, a 9i , and a pitching wedge then conclude your not so intelligent opinion

Mr Bignose I have a question for you.....How many times have you broke 70 on your score card? Get back to me on this matter thank you. I am only expressing my opinions. Not here to argue and be told of my misconceptions. I always read very thoroughly any post I am going to opinionate and I dont try to put anyone on front street . I always think the best answers go left unsaid.

What the hell does that have to do with anything? I think the vast majority of us know exactly how a shot is supposed to be performed, doesn't mean we can physically pull the shot off every time. Some of the best golf teachers in the country aren't really all that great of golfers.

When I see comments like this on the Internet, my first thought is if the person making the comment has ever done it himself.

Big Nose bases his spin explanation on physics, and cites sources for his info. You offer your "opinion", a couple snide semi-insults, and your great skills as a player as your proof.

I'll go with Big Nose and the physics. Provide some info that is not opinion, and you might get back into the argument.

Kevin

Wait, wait!!! let me think:

Decent written source bibliography plus a logical explanation in physics

v.s.

Guy who feels like Tiger Woods for breaking 70 in a par-3 ourse and insults everyone...

Hum.... difficult decision

I'm truly sorry, xamilo, I was getting pretty tired when I wrote my last response, so I really, really didn't mean to confuse you with PureStroke.

PureStoke, I will answer this question. If and only if you will answer some questions for me: How many differential equations have you ever solved? How many journal articles in peer-reviewed scientific journals have you published?*

You are welcome to as many opinions as you want, but when they conflict with physics and math that has been verified, I'm going to point out the mistakes every time. I don't think any less of you at all for not having a clear picture of what happens... not many do. And, it really doesn't matter to a lot of people. And, I've written repeatedly that it is a good image/vision to have because it encourages the proper swing mechanics.

But, it doesn't change the fact that you are wrong. You can also hold the opinion that grass is blue with purple polka dots and that the wishing of unicorns makes your computer work, but those would be wrong, too. There is verified science and physics behind what I wrote, you can look up the sources I got the information from, and look at the videos I posted to see that your opinions are wrong. I certainly wasn't trying to be rude about, and if I came off rude, I do sincerely apologize. My whole goal was to try to inform people.

* Back to the first paragraph. Actually, it doesn't really matter what the answers to your question or my questions are. All that really matters is whether what a person says is actually what happens. And, what I've written is verified by the high speed cameras. Just like it doesn't matter if you never finished grade school or have 7 PhDs, if you describe the physics correctly, it doesn't matter what degree of how many papers you've published, all that matters is having the physics correct. And, I agree completely with the other posters, it doesn't matter what my personal scores are. I don't think that I need to repeat those arguments here.

I guess it all depends on whether or not the Unicorn has ever shot below 70?
