Wondering if I can take my annual guys golf holiday this year. The economic crisis is hitting hard. On the other side of things, maybe golf resorts will have to bite the bullet and reduce their '09 pricing to survive in a marketplace with seriously depleted volume. Will Myrtle Beach, Pinehurst, Arizona, Florida and Kiahaw Island reduce prices to retain old customers and attract new visitors? I'm on the fence with this year's trip as I'm sure others are. A big break in the cost could tip me to the "go for it" side.

I'm betting heavily on some last minute deals, especially from the non big name resorts. For better or worse, I'm married to an inveterate vacation planner, so we've been set for months on our 2009 travel through the summer. Not sure what's going to happen after that, though.
