I'm going to try and make it for the summer meeting this year. The Fiance's sister is in Middleton I believe.

Which would work beautifully for playing Bergamont.

Isn't that supposed to go private? Have you ever played Spring Green? Now they call it the House on the Rock Resort I think.

Eventually it's supposed the go private once all the home lots are sold, they are still a long way off from that though.

Haven't played House on the Rock yet, it's a Robert Trent Jones course & is on my list to play.

Cool place. It was cooler before they put in all the condos. In the late 70's and 80's the clubhouse was a trailer and the original 18 was cut through the bluffs. When I played high school golf the Madison Invitational was played there every year. The development ruined it somewhat and they added another 9 holes. I want to say Andy North designed the final 9, but I'm not sure of that. It was one of my favorite places to play. We used to drive out there several times a year.

Sometimes change sucks.

Edit to add: I would imagine those lots aren't selling too quickly in today's market. When the Legends at Brandybrook was done in Wales, people fought over the lots. Now the subdivision surrounding the course has a bunch of $1,000,000+ houses for sale and there are no buyers at all.

I played that course also in late 70's early 80's. Had a GREAT time. Have not played it recently.

What's the course with the replica holes? I'd love to play that.

I would so play Northern Bay again next year. Spring, Summer, Fall, doesn't matter.

Hopefully I'll be able to make it to more than one event next year (I'm interviewing for a new job next week, one with weekends off and more money).

But, I will definitely be able to make it to one at least. Bergamont is great one.

Northern bay is great, a lot of fun. Some long yardage holes which just beg for a monster drive.
