Attn: Wisconsin & Northern Il golfers.

Would really like to start planning for next years outings, that's right multiple outings. Was thinking something like Brown Deer in Milwaukee for a spring event. For a summer event we could hold it at the Oaks or The Bergamont, maybe even University Ridge here in Madison. And then a fall event could be held wherever we decided upon.

Brown Deer Park Golf Course

The Oaks Golf Course - Cottage Grove, Wisconsin

Or we could pick total goat track courses which are dirt cheap, abuse the hell out of the carts as well as each other.

I'm always up for the Shottalk outings. They're such a good time. Looks like we'll have some time to get the spring one planned. I know once the snow gets here WBL will probably dedicate at least half of his waking hours to the site. It won't take him too long to get to 20,000.

Brown Deer Park for sure. Multiple outings sound great.

Best ball or scrambles? Or individual ( )

Also the legend at Bergamont.

And I still think Waushara CC is a good layout and reasonable too.

All good suggestions. Here's another for consideration. I think it's cheap in the Spring. I used to play here a lot. The nicest county owned course I've ever played, but I will admit to having not played Brown Deer, which is pretty weird, since I live about 30 minutes away from it.

It's an Arthur Hills design.

Washington County Golf Course, Hartford, WI.

I kinda liked that best ball dealio we did at Silver Springs, although it really doesn't matter.

Jerry, the Bergamont will knock your socks off, fantastic course. Living here I really do have it good with so damn many excellent courses to choose from.

When I lived in Kenosha it was always Kenosha Muni, Washington park in Racine, Maplecrest, Pets...although I think Pets is a good course, Brightone Dale, Bristol Oaks, South Hills..truly a horrible course, etc. Compared to courses such as University Ridge, Old Hickory, etc every damn one of those is a goat track.

Kevin, that Hartford course looks pretty nice. 6600 yds from the middle tees & a 122 slope sounds decent. I don't see very many trees at all, appears to be more of a links style.

Hopefully i will be able to make one or more next year. Anywhere around madison would be very easy for me to make. I dont really have any suggestions for courses, i pretty much play the cheap ones

Normally I play cheap ones also, the pricey ones I play in the spring or fall when the rates are slashed. But for our outings then I spend the $$$ on the nicer places simply because it is a special event.

How far south? We might actually consider a course in northern Illinois if a majority deemed it worthy.

I can make it to one in the summer. Maybe the middle of June or the end of July would be best for me. The beginning of August would be good as well.

Brown Deer would be nice.
