Yep, a mere 3 months & the show will be here again. Now I know it's not the greatest in the world but it wasn't horrible. I certainly enjoyed it more than the Milwaukee one.

If it's anything like the Greater Green Bay Golf show it's crap. The only good things at the GB one last year were Indacup's booth and the big net/range in the back.

Madison's had the Vitense launch monitor which was decent. The hole in 1 contest was a joke though. This year they are adding a poker tournament for some reason.

Perhaps the "Men's Expo" here on Jan 16-17th will be better?

I just wish there were less of those golf "destination" booths and more golf equipment dealers...

Seems like i go, walk through 2, maybe three booths with clubs, bags, balls, shoes etc and then isles and isles of booths about golf in Main, South Carolina, Canada...random places in wisconsin...

And then of course there are the launch monitors...but the lines to get on those are rediculous...but i guess since their free i cant complain about that...not to mention i think the numbers are sqewed on the vitense one...

That one showed me consistantly at 115mph+ Swingspeed...now when i got on indacups down in milwaukee i couldnt get it above 110...i was consistantly at 105ish...that was two weeks apart i think

Other then the Indacup booth at the Milwaukee Golf show I was extremely disappointed. And it was worse last year then the year before. I won't even bother going this year.

What's better about the Madison show then the Milwaukee show WG?

I hit both shows last year & thought they both sucked, but the Madison one beat just sitting around the house doing nothing. I agree with Jake that they need to get rid of the far away golf places & get ina hell of a lot more local courses. Offer free rds, have raffle prizes such as hats, towels etc that every booth gives away. Get rid of all the bs chiropractic crap, the goof balls offering brain scans, etc.

The shows could be really cool, not sure how they get the lame exhibitors they do.

Madcity Mens expo coming up next fri & sat, I will be there sat to see if it sucks. Sounds decent enough.

I saw a commercial yesterday for "The Emergency Golf Liquidation Sale". Takes place this weekend at State Fair Park in West Allis. I'm assuming it's all garbage, though the commercial flashes pictures of drivers, shoes, and bags while the guy screams Callaway, Taylor Made, Foot Joy, etc. Lots of crappy knockoffs sticking out of barrels is my guess.

I might go anyway.

Most of those "sales" at State fair park suck, that being said if it were 30 minutes away instead of 90 minutes I would probably attend also.
