Wet early morning

Played 18 holes yesterday with son-in-law. Started playing at 730 AM and noticed that we were both off of our game......it was very wet from the dew.

You could see the water kick up when the ball would roll on the fairway and on the greens.

The dampness cleared up on the last 9 holes. I hoped to shoot a better game than my last but came home with a 111, which is exactly what I hit last time.

I will keep trying, oneday I will be at par or less.

Hope everyone has a great day. :smilie_ca

I played in a shotgun scramble today. Our team was 1 under par.....the winner was 9 under, none of us could sink a putt.

At the banquet after, I won $100 in the raffle. It was a good day

I was at the Chrysler Championship today...my first tour event.

Two words: Freaking awesome.

There's something surreal about being 7 ft. away from the best player in the world when he cracks a drive 310. We were able to position ourselves front and center on many of the shots.

I overheard some great conversations too.

Carlos Franco teed off from 1 just before Mark Calcaveccia's group. As Franco walked off to retrieve his drive, Calc joked with his caddy that this was Franco's first swing of the day. Supposedly Franco's notorious for walking straight from the car to the first tee.

Another gem was between Singh and Armour 3 as they waited for the group ahead to hit from the fairway. Armour lit a cigarette and postured Singh for some small talk. Armour identified that "he could probably be a little healthier."

Evidently Singh agreed as he responded, "you should probably go on a diet and quit smoking." Armour took pretty well to this.

Singh's confidence is amazing.

His practice discipline is unmatched as well. He was the only one on the course to use an alignment station at the range. Everyone else was continuously pounding balls to loosen up. Singh swung with a weighted club (looked like a sledge hammer), had a club at his feet for alignment, a rod sticking up from the ground to harness his backswing, a Powerade bottle in front of the ball to create a swing channel, and that trusty glove under his left arm.

Olazabal shot a miserable round. He carried his funk straight from the range.

Parnevik looks like he's playing well again. He was fun to watch.

It was a great experience that bested any of my expectations. I would strongly encourage any of you who haven't been to a tour event to go immediately. Well worth the $3 water and $6 sandwich.

BTW, I'm in love with Arron Olberhoser's swing...not his name, just his swing.

That Vijay, with a little guidance, could be good.

I'm very jealous Buddha.

Unfortunately down here we don't get the chance to see so many great players at the one venue. Thank God we have the Heineken Classic though, which is part of the Euro tour so we get some good players, and of course Ernie comes out every year - he is a legend for promoting the game all over. I did get a chance one year to watch Adam Scott on the range - truly awesome swing. And he autographed a golf magazine for me - since had it framed and it takes pride of place in the study.

Sounds like you had a great time Buddha. I haven't been to a pro tournament in years but still remember how impressive those guys are. Too bad cameras aren't allowed or you could have done a Budkast. :xxrotflma

LOL. I'll forward the jpg's to the local police department.

BTW, is weed legal in Canada? If not, what are people's thoughts on that?

Back to the bragging, I see. When I was 8 I went 4 days without a bm. Next thing I know, my father is shoving some kind of greasy gel-cap up my arse. I learned to keep BMs, time, and dates to myself. I still can't look at that smiley without cringing. ------->

Legal. Hmm, a loose term. Canada does have medicinal "weed" use, but it's not overly used accross the country. I'm not much of a "recreational smoker" myself (I mean, everyone had their highschool and University days, of course!) but from what i read and know of people's accounts, people around these parts aren't so worried about it as much as one would think.

But, trafficking is another story. British Columbia has the great notoriety of being known to have 1 in 4 houses growing one or another type of marijuana. So, crops come through Saskatchewan heading out East like crazy. Every few months there's a huge bust, where some kida get caught hauling like 850lbs of pot and get pulled over for doing 40km's over the speed limit. We're talking the elite minds of the populationl, of course.

Myself? I could care less. Just keep it to yourselves. What I don't know can't hurt me.

As for bowel movements, that's a sick story Crowe. I try my best to keep other men's body parts outta there. It's just not my thing.

I just mule drugs there. :xxrotflma
