Is It possible

I have been playing golf for about 4 years now and i am really getting into it. My current handicap is 1 and i feel i could play alot better than that. I have played alot of tournament golf and i am allways in the top 20 and its one or two holes that let me down from getting higher placed.

I recently spent the summer in America where I was an assitant golf coach at a camp in Maine. All the Children i was helping, their parents and the professionals, all told me to try and go on tour and go as far as i can. I mean i did play to about a plus 3/4 handicap while i was out there.

But i really dont know if i would be wasting my time or should i really try and got for it, mini tour and see how it goes. I mean i am only 19 and i feel i will not get a better opportunity than the one prestned to me.

Any views at all?!....

If you can swing it financially, I don't guess it would hurt anything. However, playing even scratch golf isn't going to get it done on a Pro Tour. My suggestion would be to play college golf, hone your skills and then try in another few years. If you are a 1 or lower handicapper, I imagine getting a scholarship to an American University wouldn't be too difficult, that is of course assuming you have the grades and haven't already completed college?

As dubya said, try and snag a college team. It'll pay for at least 4 more years of tournament experience, and give you a better taste of whether or not you could make it on a tour.
