I would agree with DaveE.
Those one day schools are geared more for sharpening skills rather than learning skills. Spending the money for some one on one with a local pro for a series of lessons will give you time for the instruction to absoarb. As you learn new things, you can go to the range a few times before your next lesson and practice what you have learned and build it in to your routine before you learn something new.
My wife is just takinig up the game, and that is what we are going to do for her. A series of lessons with a local pro then reinforcement on the range and course before the next lesson.
