To celebrate the 1st anniversary of Shot Talk, why don't we set up the annual ShotTalk Awards?

I'm happy to start the ball rolling with some ideas. Once agreed we vote (by mid September) and get DaveE to draw up some virtual prizes.

Most valuable player - Rockford
Best thread overall - The Yale report (Sling)
Best Avatar / Signature - Dave E's dong kae
Best golfing post of the year - Silver's Golf progression Thread
Best non-golfing post of the year - I think this is Golf related, since.... (Wirehair)
Best golfing picture of the year - Sling's recovery shot at Yale's halfway house
Best non-golfing picture of the year - Abbey Road (The Beetles)
Best golfing tip - Ass clench (a perennial winna!)
Shot of the year - Dave Ireland's ace at Portstewart
Hacker of the Year - Kilted Arab - he gurns so much about being one, we should finally recognise his Chip Yips.
Best dressed playa - Dave Ireland (HHHHHAAAAAA!!!!!!)
Best Spam attempt - so many to choose from, problem is they have all been deleted.

I'm new to this Forum and I'm sorry I don't know the stories behind some of these nominees, ie: Ass clench and Halfway House; cause they sound hilarious

The ass clinch is a very helpful golf tip that was perfected on the Virginia Correctional System's Golf team. It was more groundbreaking than soap-on-a-rope and potato-beer combined.

It is a fact that I neither went "#2" nor showered while on the team. Too risky!

And that sheep told me it was of age of consent. I was railroaded!

I've given is some thought and I'm nominating OB for Most Accurate Historical Club Information.

This guy knows/remembers about old school stuff I had easily pushed outta my brain and replaced with things like "Fo-Shizzle".

Don't start drinking more, OB. You'll just end up like all those UK lushes that no one can understand worth a damn...

What about the post where some dude (forget who now) who in one word was ripping Bravo for not hitting the ball off of tree roots then in his next post, said he was retiring from the golf boards???


There should be a drama queen award
