I use the old "baseball grip". I've tried interlocking, which ends up hurting my fingers and I've tried the overlapping, which causes me to regrip at the top of my swing. For whatever reason, I get the most power and accuracy out of the ten finger style.

Lamma, losing the club at the top, (I assume thats what you mean by 'regripping') is almost entirely down to griiping the club too hard at address. You really should grip the club as light as you think you can get away with, and use a couple of 'nip' points,ie left hand last 3 fingers and the ball under your right thumb, these nip points are gripped slightly harder, but not much.

Its perfectly possible to play good gold using a baseball grip, but if you are struggling for consistency try the method above.

Interlocking...I started using that grip at 11 or so and never got around to switching. If it's good enough for Jack Nicklaus, it's good enough for me

Yep, I interlock too. I have small hands. But, it's what I've learned to use from day one when I was about 4, and I've never known anything else.

Works for me.

interlocking has always worked best for me...overlap feels too loose to me and ten finger feels too tight

Interlocking. My father taught me that way, and I feel uncomfortable swinging with any other grip.

I interlocked until about 3 years ago, then I spent the entire winter holding a SW with the overlap grip (watching TV, taking a leak, etc.) I couldn't even fathom using the interlock now.

Overlap.....there was an article in Golf Digest ( I think) 2 or 3 issues ago that talked about the three main grip types and listed a couple golfers that used each type if anyone is interested. Nothing too interesting, though. It didnt go into nip points or anything like that.

What prompted the change of grip?

Baseball with a weak grip. Used interlock and overlap some years ago, and not matter what bd says, baseball feels the most comfortable and consistent for me.

I wanted to strengthen the left hand a little so I could work the ball more from right to left. The interlock felt a little uncomfortable in this position.

Started with interlocking and then switched to overlapping. Sometimes I grip it with interlocking for fun and wonder how I was ever able to hit a club, just feels weird now.
