Thread: Ebay shipping...

    Ebay shipping...

Not sure if this belongs here or in the equipment section. I have a few listings on ebay right now. I got an email from a guy in Thailand wondering if I would ship them to him. I said I would consider it if he paid the extra shipping.

Am I missing anything, I did the quote for the guy and it's insanely expensive to ship even just one club- like $50. Any danger in shipping to there that I should be aware of? I can't imagine there is but I don't do so very often-ship overseas that is...thanks!
Blew up the bag, not sure what's going in next...
    Any suggestions?

  2. I wouldn't bother with Thailand. I'll ship unshafted clubheads to the UK but that's it. Full clubs will very expensive. Plus I've heard a lot of horror stories about things getting held up in customs or never received. I wouldn't bother risking it.

Get cash or a transfer of PayPal funds from them....no credit cards...if they send a check or money order do NOT ship till funds have been cleared.

Too many overseas orders (especially in that part of the world) are scams.

Don't accept Paypal for something like this. If it turns out to be fraudulent, Paypal will take the money back from you and leave you out in the cold. It happened to me with a few transactions worth several hundred dollars.

    Good decision.

Next time when placing an ad in Ebay...theres a section where you can define where you will ship to...

  7. I would stay way from shipping to anywhere in SE Asia. Canada and Europe is good.

    Thanks Rory,

Whenever I list on ebay I am very specific about only shipping to the continental US. This question came from a buyer who must not have read fully the listing. I normally don't ship anywhere overseas but since he asked I thought I would at least check it out.

  9. I've shipped all over the globe and not 1 single solitary problem. I've always used USPS International Priorety and got paid via PP before hand.

Aye, same here. Paypal won't do dick to help you, lost a couple hundred that way.

Anyway, most of Europe is fine and anywhere North America. Once tried a "soldier" in Korea, suprisingly good English, but no dice.

My personal "burn" experience was a guy who when he first bought (or tried) I was suspicious so I said cash only...and it was for a small amount...and it went thru fine...so a few week later he bought another small item, cash up front and fine agan.

This went on 2-3 more times, like once a month...I developed confidence in him....

So then he comes p and says he wants to place a large order would I take his credit card....I said....ummm sure...shipped out $1,200 product...he claims he didn't get it, does a charge back and I was screaed and never heard from him again.

Man that sucks. I just don't understand why people try to hard to screw others over. If they spent half as much time being honest as they did being dishonest they would probably be just as well off.
