I just talked to my boss and it looks like things have really come together for a Florida run. We have a big load going to NC and 3 smaller loads on another truck going to FL. We'll be leaving Wed. to unload in NC and his nephew will drive that truck back. We'll be in FL Thur. evening and no loads to dropoff till Sunday.
I'll be wearing shorts just south of Ft. Lauderdale playing on Fri. and Sat.. We'll proabably play Boca Raton Municipal (which I've played and is really good) to start and we'll see if he wants to do more after that. I'd love to play Doral but it's a little pricey... Although I do have taxes to do yet... if he suggests it, I might say fuggit and go for it.
I can't wait to get out of here.

If you wait until summer all the old people migrate up to North Carolina to their summer homes there and clog the highways and golf courses up there....

And I'm old but those Florida old timers drive and play far slower then it's possible to believe you could drive or play!! :shocked:

I don't mind the old folks playing as it's their right & as mentioned, we will all be there some day too. What gets me is when they have attitude that somehow because I am younger than them, I need to give them all the time & room in the world to play the game at their pace. Not sure what that means. Under your new goverments proposed economic package it will only be the rich and elderly playing golf, the rest will be working hard to pay off the national debt and building infrastructure. Suck it up.

The older generation do take their time out there but, I'll tell you what, I only pray that I get the opportunity to be right along side them when I get there. These guys (and gals) are still playing this great game and I'd bet that for some this game is what gets them up in the morning. Good on them I say!

I agree with you, my friend. Yes it's aggravating to get behind a slow group. But, I always show some respect by being patient while waiting, I'm courteous when asking (or asked) to play through, and I play quickly through that hole and the next so I don't hold them up. Makes the game much more enjoyable IMHO.
