Rule Question

Quick question.

My ball is on the green.
My buddy is off the green (about 2 yards from it though). He swings and his ball hits mine. What's the rule on this? I know the rule if we are both on the green and putting and I know the rule if the balls hit while on the fairway. But how about this? Thanks

You replace your ball to where it was and his is stays where it ended.

an actual fair rule in golf too. i hit a ball on the green from 120 yards out, knocked his off the green into the bunker.
