Duval Making the Cut

Anyone have any opinions on David Duval making he cut at the Texas Open. I think it was his 1st cut in 17 appearances (going back to 2004). He shot 68, 69, 70, 74. Ended up tied for 60th. I guess he even earned little meal money. Not bad. He always seemed like to talented a player to keep down. I am not suggesting he is nearly close to being back yet but those scores suggest he is heading in the right direction.

I honestly dont think he will ever be quite as good as he was in the late 90's. He got hitched, had kids etc etc. Ive heard he's living the family life now and I totally sympathize with the guy. He chose family over Golf. And if you arent a Pro then you totally see where he's coming from as well. He could always come back and be a great player again but for the next few years I wouldnt expect too much from him because he spends more time with the family then with his golf clubs. He is one of the few Pro's that have their priorities straight IMO. Tiger is doing the same now as well, he spends more time with his woman than golfing in tourny's. I cant say that I wouldnt be doing the same as Duval if I had the choice. Hopefully someday he comes back in full force and gives the top 5 a run for their money!
