Jobs in golf

Do any of you work in jobs related to this wonderful game?

I am trying to get an idea of how I can get into working within the industry without being a pro or working in a shop. I have previously worked in golf retail but the money was abysmal and the hours were quite long too. There must be lots of other jobs that I don't even know about, so I would like you fine people to enlighten me please.

I'm in the golf industry by providing Myrtle Beach golf packages.

That is the real world of golf. You start with low pay and long hours. The guys that do not truely love the game move on, the real golf lovers can reap the rewards after paying your dues.

I started in golf retail as a receiving cleark making $4.75 per hour. I now own my own company and get to travel all over the country playing golf at all the great courses.
The question is, how bad do you want it?

Bob. Thanks for your reply.

I did quite enjoy my retail time but I was just frustrated by the lack of vision shown by the powers that be and this made the job rather dull. I have often wondered how to get into golf club design, maybe you could point me in the right direction?

Or have you ever considered branching out accross the pond? The market here is growing rapidly for golf equipment and apparel.
