Very nice collection indeed.
Those Wilson Staff are a piece of beauty.
But the price tag is overwhelming. There's an independant golf shop here that sells old clubs like these for a quarter of the price, but they're in mint conditions.

Some of these look sweet, especially the COBRA Greg Norman "TOUR" Irons, but at $899 perhaps a tad on the expensive side.

Yup, played the 1980 Titleist Tour Irons for many years. Traded for some cavity backs after re-starting from a 3 year layoff. figured I needed all the help I could get. I think the cavity backs do help but sure miss the feel of a well struck blade.

Or build a '56 Buick. There's alot of metal in some of those clubs. I wonder what the swingweight was of some of those?

Rob's a good guy. I've bought lots of stuff from him. He has another web site http://www.robsgolf.com

The Cobra Forged Norman Blades are extremely rare. I may have to go over there and check them out.

A spade is a spade, hey?

I look through both sites mentioned and it's funny how so many blades look exactly the same (minus a few athetic changes) year after year after year. You basically get a muscle back or a cavity back.

I really wonder how much better a set of 1969 Arnold Palmer pro series blades would differ from a set of Mp-33's if they had the same shaft and swingweight....

It would be a cool test...

Smaller sweet spot,in fact the Arnies sweetspot would be the size of a nats cock.Plus the forging would feel different,I suspect a tad harder in those days.Thin one in February back then and your teeth would fall out.

Those blades are hardcore porn.Cavities are just downright ugly in comparison, some of those blades are works of art.
