Thread: For those with the free golf rd card.

For those with the free golf rd card.

Who wants to get together for rds at Trappers Turn & Lawsonia? Trappers is a great course & I recommend we play Canyon & Arbor, I think the Lake 9 is the weakest of the 3 courses.

Haven't played the woodlands course at Lawsonia yet.

Interested yes. Just depends on when. Been laid off three weeks so when I go back don't know how golf will fit in.

Using the free rd at Bridges tomorrow, hopefully it won't be as humid as today. Walked 9 holes earlier today & even though the temp was only 72º, the humidity must have been 100%+ & I was miserable.

Re: For those with the free golf rd card.

Got the crappy course out of the way yesterday, have never played the back 9 at Bridges & I like it a lot better than the front.

Like John posted Christmas Mtn is at the bottom of my list merely because it's 100% slow assed tourists. During the summer a rd can easily take 6-7-8 hrs to complete. I will try & play it in the fall when they all leave.

The Bull is coming up quickly, just need to figure out Lawsonia & Trappers now. You will really like Trappers George.

Christmas Mountain is also low on my list because it's nothing special at all. I've played it twice only because we were camped out near there with another couple years ago.

Re: For those with the free golf rd card.

Played Christmas mtn today & finished up the last of my free rds. It's a decent enough course, with the back 9 being a lot better than the front. Some nice elevated tees & really nice views. Few blind tee shots, lots & lots of trees, etc.

I would easily recommend this course but never ever would play it during the summer. Even today with it being 51º when I tee'd off it was still a little busy but not horrible. The only backups were 2 twosomes who were horribly horribly slow. I played thru both of thos small groups as well as a 4some & finished the rd in 3 hrs.

Fairways were very very slow & there was absolutely no roll to be had. Ball would land & just stop immediately. Front 9 had aerated greens but the back were not touched.

I played the course yesterday. First 4 holes went well then I caught up to 3 groups which were slow. Overall the fairways were slow and long. Rough very uneven and the green were just OK. Play for free was right price otherwise a greens few of $25-$30 appropriate.
