Played with bryguy today at my home course. He is a super nice guy and we had a great time. He was hitting his new Diablo 3 wood quite well. All he really needs to work on is some of the "scoring" types of shots and putt just a bit better and he easily could be shooting in the 70s on a consisitent basis.

He got a chance to see what "garbage golf" looks like today as well.

A word of warning to you guys about GWLee, do not play this guy for money. He is sneaky good. If what you play is 'garbage' gold, sign me up for the sanitation department. This guy can scramble with the best of em. It was pretty cool to meet a fellow member, and they have a very nice course over there. Sadly, I must have left my game in Wilson, cause I kinda stunk it up over there. Any, let's do it agian in the near future Gary, I enjoyed it.

I'm starting to feel hungry. How far is Providence past NY City? I have in laws that live on Long Island and actually do get up there once in a while. Maybe we could meet on "neutral" territory and play someplace like oh, I don't know, ah, Bethpage Black?

I'm stuck here in Cheeseland, but would someday like to get together with some of you guys with handicaps, so we could play a few rounds where some money changes hands. Most of the WI ShotTalkers like to be sociable when they play. I'm in the mood for a little trash talking sometimes.

Of course I'm old and fat, think I hit the ball farther than I really do, and know nothing about launch angle, spin, swing speed, smash factor, or course management. I usually just set up, look at the target, and hit it.

I would probably be an easy mark.

Don't sell yourself short. Most bets are won or lost on the 1st tee box.

Case in point: On the day before Bryan came over, I played with two of the three guys I normally play with and the fourth guy was about a 25 - 30 handicapper. We decided to play "6", "6", "6" where the three of us each took the higher handicap guy as a partner for 6 holes and he would get three shots per each 6 holes going by the hole handicaps on the card. He stunk it up the first six holes while he was my partner, and then poceeded to make several "net" birdies over the last 12 holes. The dude shot 102 and won money. It was a fair bet. If he plays well (for him) for a few holes, he deserves to win.
