what wedge set?

and what 3 club wedge set should I get for a goof price?

I havent built a club in 12 years

I would rather have a cheap set thats good...I down use em much anyways... I get in the sand once every 30 holes..

I had snake eye clubs.. but I want something better if I build em

Like Clark said, I've heard great things about some of the component wedges.


I'm using the Srixon WG-504's and love them. They can be found for pretty cheap on the Bay if your looking to save money. The grooves are getting kind of worn now and I'm thinking of replacing them with the newer offerings.

The Watson sets are supposed to be pretty good from Adams also.

I'd go with a 52º-56º-60º if it was me, I like having 3 wedges. If you only wanted to carry 2 I'd go 52º and 58º.

I built the 52º and the 56º of the M series Maltby wedges from golfworks...they are fantastic wedges for the price.

don't I need special tools the ones I built my fathers friend helped me with.. he did it for a living

Hacksaw, sand paper and epoxy at the bare minimum. A vice helps significantly but is not needed.

You'll need something to cut the shafts with, a Dremel tool will work just fine. A vise helps when putting the grips on, but isn't necessary. You'll need some epoxy like Clark said, but they sell a epoxy set that has enough to build a boat load of clubs that isn't that expensive. You could probably find something at the hardware store that would work just as well?

Or take the set to your fathers friend and buy him a 12 pack!
