Well, it finally quit raining yesterday so the courses are a bit soggy, but today it's 70°F and the sun is shining.

Too bad I'm at work. :(

Same boat as Doc... Other than the rain making the courses a tad soggy, and slowing the greens a wee-bit.. Still golfin.. Infact, the courses are starting to drop the prices a bit, which is nice.. Nice fall weather, leaves changing and some un-crowded golf.

It is beautiful in the Raleigh area. I am planning on playing early next week at a course where I am friends with the pro and course superintendent, and then heading to Pinehurst to play with a friend of my dad's (the same one mentioned in my post on funny swings).

Should hit 70 here in Southern NJ tomorrow. I play all winter here. Being 3 miles from the ocean my home course rarely sees snow. Last year there was only a two week period where it was too cold and frozen to play. Thats what they make long underwear for.

    Re: Seasons over

I'm in southern New England. We played a round today in shorts and short sleeve shirts. When we got home it was brats on the grill and we sat out on the deck, ate brats, had some brew and tossed apples to the deer.

Next week it will probably be ass freezin weather.

Mitch, lucky those deer are up there and not in Georgia. We'd be eating it.

Nah! These are pets. Some evenings we may have 6-8 eating drops under my apple trees. It would be like shooting fish in a barrel.

  13. Re: Seasons over

The season is slowly grinding to an end in S. Ontario. I played today and I think the high got to 10*C (50* approx.) Probably will keep trying to get out when the weather cooperates. We've been getting a real mixed bag lately; Windy, rainy, cold and plain crappy. No snow though!!

I'll be playing till the bitter end!!

Having occasional frost delays. Long one Satruday morning. Course finally opened around 10 a.m. No frost yesterday morning. Got to 73 degrees, yesterday. Gorgeous!!! Supposed to only get to ~60 today. But, supposed to be in the 60's all week... no frost... no precip.

This time of year, each and every day is a blessing. We have seen snow as early as Halloween. However, during the past 10 years or so, we've been able to play most of November and into early December. Hope it's that way this year!!!!!!!!
Blessed to have a bag full of trustworthy friends who have provided this old man with hundreds of hours enjoying the great game of golf.

    Re: Seasons over

I'm just hating all these friggin' leaves. I can't find my damn ball in the middle of the fairway half the time, and it took forever, because the fairways were soggy, and the balls plugged easily.

    But atleast I'm still playin.
