I saw that on his hat watching the coverage this morning. Odd. Lord only knows how much more overpriced Scratch clubs will be now that they're sponsoring someone known.

Probably no more than any other overpriced piece of equipment that sponsors well know players.

I mean come on, really, $800-$1000 for a set of irons! No thanks, I'll wait a season or two and buy a nice used set for $250 max.
Blew up the bag, not sure what's going in next...
    Any suggestions?

They have or are going to have a "mass production" cast wedge. The mold was made from several different options of the custom ground wedges from what I've read. Price will not be rediculous. Less than a Vokey if I remember correctly.

I wouldn't buy new irons from Scratch, but damn they are purdy.

The wedges are some of the best out, and for the price, the better value.

I'm wondering if he put in a bit of $$$ as a partner, being the equity sponsorship.

Yup.. milled faces.. 8620's if I'm correct. Great wedges, awesome grinds and cheaper than your run of the mill TMAG/Callaway/Titty wedges.

yeah, just imagine what you could do with the $1500 you spent on the Cally irons. You could put together a decent bag for $400-$500 and spend the extra $1000-$1100 on lessons/membership.

Scratch is full custom to the Nth degree. Hard to argue with what they will accomodate for the money when compared to off the rack for nearly the same price.

Good for Ari, good for Ryan.

It's nice to see smaller brands which make great products to start sponsoring The Tour. I would love to see Miura's, more Mizunos, ect, out there in the field...

Ditto. I think the level of service you get, and the custom work in a timely manner is worth it.

Point being.. I'm gonna hit the HQ of Scratch in TN soon, and get fitted up for a set of wedges.
