I have heard that these type of rangefinders aren't worth anything; too much variability, plus you have to be able to see the whole pin.

Hmmm,but range finder camers are highly accurate,and are totally manual.I suppose you must be right,6 quid it can't work,can it?

If you play at a decent course then all the flags are different sizes, depending on hills and how much of the green you can see etc. I don't think they'll be that good.

Indeed, the range finder on all high quality cameras (e.g. Leica, Contax etc) simple in principal but extremely precisely made.

That hong kong piece of crap "rangefinder" compared, for lack of a better word, to a Leica/Contax rangefinder are two TOTALLY different breeds. And for 6 pounds..c'mon. You get what you pay for..he's making his end on the shipping prolly (9 pounds). Stick with the legitimate ones, Bushnell, Nikon. Nothing works for 6 pounds these days..lol I vote "YES" they will be crap.

I couldn't agree more. Perhaps my post lacked clarity. I would go on to say that russian rangefinders (zorki, fed, kiev etc.) are probably more accurate than these offerings on ebay.
