Dave's shit tips #459

I lost my rythym at the range today so started aiming low hooks at rabbits out of boredom/frustration.

Had a cup of tea and accidently tucked my right arm in because my bracelet had come undone, and nutted a 2 iron in the process.I then did the headcover under the armpit thing which I've always thought of as a bit effeminate, but it transformed the session and even rescued some rabiits to boot.

So,tuck your right arm in,I mean, really in,and keep it there.Tom Watson is a true right-arm-tucker-in believer and he wasn't that bad at golf, apparently.

cheers

Dave

I haven't had a rabbit dinner in a long time so it's a tough choice.

When I played yesterday I was using a tip almost like that and it did make a difference. Much better contact and an unusually high number of good shots. The ball was going further too. Don't remember where I read it but it was tip from Tiger.

Actually,my necklace got caught in my knickers

Tip from Tiger? forget him,he needs a coach to rebuild his swing,I've done mine all on my own

Seriously, the hardest thing to get right for me was a consistent wrist set,and I've only achieved this my really working on my right arm.I have a frigging good grip though that helps, far better than Tigers.

I was surprised it worked too but it wasn't so much a tip as it was a swing thought. It involves the right forearm and concentrating on bringing it down to your side and rotating it through impact.

Don't think I'm explaining it right but my version of it helped me so I guess it doesn't matter.

What's that super grip of yours?

That's a good grip to base one on.

Is the right arm tucked in from the beginning of the backswing and through the downswing? I like to keep my right arm tucked in on the downswing but usually on the backswing it is at a 90 deg. angle at the top.
