Cheap Pasta Ball Mix~AKA Noodle

Just got back for Dicks Sporting goods. On top of they're normal sales, they have Noodle Double Dozens for $19.99, they are one normal and one of either Al Dente or Rotini. No 2 normal. All the other older Maxfli's, including my A10's were down to $12.50. They don't have the Rev Tours.

Thought it seemed worth mentioning, as there are alot of Noodle Players

Are Noodles "soft" feeling? Like a PV1..like you can put a nail mark into the skin?

My wife hits them, I hit the A10's. Prior to deciding on the A10 as my new ball, I tried out the Noodle. They are softer than the A10 in my opinion and are a low compression ball, and seem to scuff rather easy. It actuallly seamed that I would mark up the ball just by using my driver. Although my main reason behind avoiding the Noodle is that I did notice some unpredictible ball flights, specifically with my driver. More acurately, the "Knuckleball" effect that people have mentioned. My speed on the driver averages between 103-105, so I probably wouldn't recommend them for someone over 100, or at least analyze the ball flight before buying alot.

They feel real "soft" around the greens, softer than any others I tried.

edit 1 - I would actually compare them to a Balata ball.

Noodles. I guess I'm a candidate for the "short bus". I never could figure out al dente vs. rotini. Why can't they just call them soft cover or high compression? Life would be simpler if manufacturers could label things what they are.

Too more accurately answer your question, I just no3w took a nail to a Noodle. It WILL NOT mark the surface. Hope that helps

I Like the Al Dente and Rotini a little better. The Al Dente has more spin, but I actually think the Noodle Performs better. I like the Wilson Smart Core Pro distance that I used to hit better than the Rotini. I dislike the Rev Solid, which are still 2 dozen for $19.99. I really like the A10 for good distance and spin. The Smart Core is longer but has trouble holding the Green. The Rev Tour is my favorite of the bunch, but they are still $19.99 a dozen. If they drop in price to the A10 I will switch, but no time soon since I just picked up 10 dozen A10's. I would actually compare the A10 or the Rev Tour to the Pro V1 to a large degree. The Rev Tour is 3 piece the others are 2. I think the Black Max is a replacement for the Rev Tour, however it is $39.99 a dozen.

The Rev Tour or A10 balls aren't anywhere near the ball that is the Pro V1. Sorry.

I pretty much expected to hear that "alot" in saying such. But for a "poor mans" ball, it may be as close as you will get. I realize that I will be the Minority on this one.
