I shot the best round of my life Sat.!

I shot an 82, which may not seem like much to you freakin awesome guys out there, but it is good for me. I changed my swing a little and Saturday was my first time to try it out on 18, so that's encouraging. I didn't really feel like I was shooting lights out either, which hopefully means that i have a sub 80 game in me. I was just excited and had to tell somebody, thanks for listening!

This is a common element in 'greatest rounds' that are described by golfers. It is often not a round where 'every putt I could have possibly made went in' OR I hit all my approaches within 10 feet'.

Usually it is a round with lots of Greens in Regulation and solid two putting.

My personal best was a 73 2 years ago. I hit 14 GIR and two putted virtually all of them. One birdie, two bogies and 15 pars.

Really dull actually - from a shotmaking standpoint.

When you're in one of those rounds, it feels like you just can't miss, I love it!

Sounds like you were in the zone. Not thinkin' just playin'. Like Bravo and EDS said: confident, no stray thoughts or nerves. Really boring round. Fairways, greens, and 2 putts.

Ain't this game easy?

Great job. A little bit better short game or a few better decisions (i.e. no double or triple bogeys) and the 70s are in the near future.
