Thread: Club Ho - Moral dilemma

  1. Club Ho - Moral dilemma

Here's the deal. There's this new lawyer I occasionally play with, his wife's a Doctor. His Father in law buys him golf clubs. About 3 months FIL bought him an R-5 and put a speeder 757 (a real one, not TM branded) in it. For Christmas FIL got him an FT-3 so the R-5's in the closet.

He's willing to trade me the R-5 for the 975f 16'5* I carry & can't hit. The 975 isn't a dog of a club by any stretch, & lord knows he ain't worried about where his next meal is coming from but he's a nice guy & I don't wanna screw him.

I have lust in my heart for that driver. wadda you guys think?
It must be awful to have to work for a living.

I don't see the harm, you both have clubs you don't like and are currently collecting dust so to speak. I think you would be doing him more of a disservice by not doing it, and making him try to move the R-5, and still have to try and pick up a club from someone he can trust.

I am one of those that would rather throw a good club in the basement never to be seen again, as opposed to dealing with the time on say eBay. I would love being able to trade my garbage from yesterday, for your garbage from yesterday, if your garbage will go into my bag.

Do both of you the favor, and make the trade. If you feel bad, tell him you'll take him out for a couple drinks, or better yet, a round of golf just to show good faith. Although, I don't even see that as being necessary.

  4. toss in a dozen of his favorite balls if you feel the need, or a round of golf, or a round of drinks

F that. Just take it straight accross. He's a big boy and can do his homework.

    Drinks? Balls? Thank you?

Nah, straight up. FIL will catch him with the new Cleveland Hi Bore in no time anyways....

Doctors say that you should eat 5 pieces of fruit or veg a day to remain healthy. Last week I ate 5 mouldy plums and that night I shat the bed. What's healthy about that?:shocked::shocked:

There's no need to deal with that kind of guilt. Take the club and send it to me. You'll feel better I promise.
There's really no point in listening to other People. They're either going to be agreeing with you or saying stupid stuff. Dogbert

I'm not sure I agree that this fit's into a Ho dilemma, really just a moral dilemma. A Ho dilemma is when you have $190 to spend, and want to buy 2 clubs, costing $199 a piece. Now, if you were a young attractive woman, it is simply more of a club Ho issue, as an overweight aging male, it is a serious delemma.

Just think of the set of clubs you could have if you were super model material.
