Anyone play in the Harlingen, Brownsville, South Padre area?

What are the best courses to play? I go there every year and play Tierra Santa and the South Padre Island Golf Club. I also play LLano Grande where my parents live.

I am heading down this year with a pal and want to make sure we hit all the "good ones". I am also planning on playing Los Lagos as I've heard good things about them. We may hit River Bend in Brownsville.

Any other places? Golf Digests "Places to play" is really only accurate up to about 2001. So any new builds won't be rated, even if they are listed.

I know the Valley area really isn't that densely populated with folks that may see this post, but I figured I'd throw it out there anyway.

Bump because my thread only got 6 looks.

I am guessing not many folks play in that area. If you know a retiree living in that area that plays, ask them what they think are the best places in the area and post back.

If no one here actually knows, so be it, I'll let the thread die. Just couldn't let it go with only 6 looks.
