Golf slang!

I always like these threads, and I have some fresh ones.

Please feel free to add your own!

An Adolf Hitler - taking two shots in a bunker

An Arthur Scargill - a great strike but a poor result

A Kate Winslett - a bit fat but otherwise perfect

A Rodney King - over-clubbed

An O.J. Simpson - somehow got away with it

A Condom - safe but didn't feel real good

A sister-in-law - up there, but I know that I shouldn't be

A Paula Radcliffe - ugly but a good runner

A Kate Moss - a bit thin

Gerry Adams - hitting a provisional

A Diego Maradonna - very , very nasty little five footer

A Salman Rushdie - an impossible read

A Rock Hudson - thought it was straight, but it wasn't

A ladyboy - Looks like an easy hole but all may not be what it seems

A nipple licker - a shot that opens up the hole

Putt like a gynaecologist's assistant - just shaved the hole.

All used by Yanks I have caddied for. Hilarious, like. . . . .

You find racist remarks funny? Maybe the Americans on here will correct me, but none of the Americans I've met have used that term. Only racist Brits.

Have you any idea how offensive that term is to those you are referring to?? Hilarious?? Not in my world.

It's the equivalent of the "n" word for coloured people and Andy will know that.

I don't want to prolong this matter, but "Racist Brits" is also a rather offensive term. I hope you weren't meaning to tar us all with the same brush there. Not having spent a long time on this board, I'm not sure of your origins (Kilted? Presume some scottish heritage there somewhere) but I do know that you reside in warmer climes so maybe not. I hope I haven't mis-interpreted your intentions, actually on second thoughts it would be best if I had.

(Personally I consider myslf English rather than British anyway but that seems to carry a worse reputation around the globe! D'oh!)

Not at all - I'm very much a Brit myself. and sometimes, such as here with Andy, the attitude of other Brits makes me feel ashamed. And I include my fellow Scots as occasional sources of shame.

Sincerest apologies, lads.

I ain't like that at all, I can guarantee you of that.

Sorry, once again.

I didnt see the word and im not real sure what it was, I would think it to be a very low number of Americans that use this word since it is a "Racist Brit" term.
