Charity Golf Tournament

I am in the second year of hosting a charity golf event to benefit the Neo-Natal ICU at Akron Children's Hopital in Ohio and I was hoping I might get some feedback here from golfers with things they like and dislike when attending such events. We had a great inaugural year last year, but we want to make it as good as it can be. If you have any thoughts or ideas that you think would be helpful, please let me know. There is more info about the event at www.jamesphillipgolf.com. Any resources or assistance that might help us secure more sponsors or golfers this year would be greatly appreciated.

One little special I have enjoyed in the past at large outings is what I think they called a "blind handicap?" Pay $10 on the first tee and pick any handicap you want. At the end of the event they pick a score between 70 and 75 out of a hat and anyone that had a net of that score splits the entry fee (minus a 50% cut for the charity). even if you shoot a 105 and they picked 70 out the hat you can still win if you picked 35 as your handicap. mindless and all luck mind you, but still fun and makes the winners happy and the charity more money.
