Exclamation could anyone help me?

hi, i went up my local range today and found that i was not hitting my irons the same distance as what i usually do and i mean by alot. i was hitting my pitching wedge about 100 yards max and usually i hit it 140 yards average. And then i hit my 6 iron and was hitting that about 150 max when i usually hit it about 175 yards. so any suggestions? i don't think it is anything to do with me exchanging the weight on to the back foot as i swing back so i do not no what i am doing wrong. please could someone give me some suggestions i would be very grateful. thanks tom

think i might have to ask at another forum as this doesn't seem like people reply often. seems like a good forum from everything i've looked at just ashame that no one can reply to my thread.

Patience is a good thing off and on the course, maybe especially asking on a Sunday morning, eh?

Not much to go on here, really. How are you figuring your yardages on the course versus at the range? If your measurements are inaccurate at one or the other or both, it's impossible to draw any meaningful conclusions.

Um, Tom.....

You need to realize a couple of things about this forum, at least one of which isn't readily apparent.

Traffic here traditionally takes a big dive on the weekends, people are out playing golf, doing stuff with their families and whatnot. The MAJORITY of postings happen from peoples place of business (Mon.-Fri) so don't get discouraged if there isn't someone here to answer your questions right away.

Secondly, it should be noted, that it is very nearly impossible to impart advice on a particular nuance of a persons golf swing over the internet. No one has seen your swing so how could we possibly guess what the problem might be?

Finally, if you have a problem with some aspect of your game then the best thing that you can do for yourself is to get some lessons. Work with a pro who can not only see your swing but also teach you how to fix it.

Another thing to consider is that some range balls are restricted flight. If this is a new range to you or if they recently replaced their range balls you might want to ask. Just my 2 cents. Oh yeah, and lessons usually help, too.
