Big Break V

Anybody watch this last night? I kind of got hooked on the Big Break after watching Big Break IV, and it looks like I will end up watching V whenever I get a chance. I can not explain the draw of it, it just captivates me to watch it.

After watching the first show, I now even have someone to root against. For whatever reason, I have found Nikki to be annoying. I thought for sure that Jo D. was going to wipe her out but who knew that Jo D. does not have anything that resembles a short game under the pressure of the Big Break lights? After taking out 5 of the 11 windows to start the show, Jo D. lost her game.

Still a little early to pick a favorite, but I know who I am rooting against until she gets eliminated.

Saw part of it, is Nikki the "model/actress" with the, shall we say, customized front?

What I find disappointing in many of the players selected is that they really don't have much game, at least not what it takes to compete on a tour. The gal that hit the most glass (name?) also seemed to scuff about half her shots, hardly getting the ball off the ground.

The first show is usually a battle of the chumps. The actress against the struggling short game.

Nikki won't be around long. Most of those other girls have 10 times the game she does.

I like the Swede, myself.

They can't be sending all the elimated home right away, can they? Otherwise it would be very easy for people to spoil who the last two competitors were by finding out when people got back.

BBV was filmed last year. So, everyone is at home.

I'm sure they have a contract that says they can't discuss it.

Yeah, I know that, but I mean if other person in the area sees that Jo D came back at x date, and next contestant eliminated came back at y date, etc, someone could figure out the timeline of probable eliminations.

I think they must keep them around, sightseeing tours or some shit. Cuz they're all there at the end.

I just wanna see who dunked it from the fairway from the preview. Then I'm happy.

The first Big Break was great. The second one sucked. The third one had it's moments, and the last one was crap too. I can't see this being very different in that pattern. Can't wait for BBVI!

I too will be rooting against Nikki until she is eliminated. She is a b****, but she talks a great game.

There are a couple that are easy on the eyes. Some of them can even golf. I'll probably watch, like ualtim there is just something about it that seems fun to watch. I was even watching the "celebrity" ones.

Sign me up for the Big Break then, I will lose on day 1 and spend the next week or so in paradise on someone else's expense account

Turtle Bay looks awesome. Kind of like Maui, but on Oahu with some excellent golf. I just wish that Hawaii was not so far away form Florida. Anyone ever stay at the Turtle Bay resort?

Oh, and whats with Sign Boy making brief appearences during the show? Is Foot Joy now in on the sponsorship bandwagon?

Nikki definitely has the mouth: an F bomb and a S bomb in 1 show.
High maintenance.

My money is on Kim.

reading a few other boards it seems that I am the only one that likes Nikki......I just love the way she crouches on the green.

My runner up is the cute little Korean, Jeanne Cho.

I would probably would have liked Nikki more if she kept her mouth shut. I do not have an issue with the F&S bombs (those are highly techinical golf terms that need to be used every once in a while), but they way she talks about her fellow competitors just kind of grates on me. I guess every BB need a double D, and it looks like Nikki is it.

I would put my money on the the one who won the US Woman's Amateur, but I thought Warren was going to take BBIV with his Brit Amateur and I was wrong. I need to see some more of their games before I come up with my prediction.

I think it's highly likely there were better players that tried out for the show, they just didn't make the initial cut because they weren't as easy on the eyes.

Everyone seems to dislike Darling Nikki but she sure is getting talked about a lot... producers are probably encouraging her to be extra bitchy to create some controversy.

I personally like the cute tan blonde with the accent. She needs a touch of naughty though to make her perfect.
