DOes anyone here play...

Tiger Woods PGA Tour 06? My wife got me this yestarday for Valentine's day. I have the PC version but I hear the XBox version is good as well.

The scenic views in this game are absolutely Stunning!! Even more exciting (for me at least) is that the courses are modeled after the ACTUAL courses!! I think this will be a great way to sooth my "cravings" when the weather is too inclimate to actually go out and play.

I've got a lot of learning to do in the game but I was curious if amyone here plays Multiplayer? Who knows.. we could have our own little tourney one day!!

Cheers!

I haven't played it. I've got Links 2003, but it's been sitting idle for awhile.

I rented '06 for Xbox 360 and just hate where they put the "power" button that you have to hit real fast. It's one of the bumper buttons, on the swing stick side, and they don't let you configure the buttons differently.

All they let you do is swap the swing stick to the right hand one if you'd like. Even then, one still has to mash furiously with their left hand. Just about impossible for me.

In so far as the game, it is pretty sweet. Every year the TW line graphics get better and better.

I just wish they'd let you configure where you'd like the buttons to go. Or just kept it the same from previous versions. It'd be a lot more enjoyable and playable.

Havent played the 06 version, but I love TW 05. Its not the most challenging but its golf.

I am currently going through withdraws. My PS2 is broken. It wont read discs. I dont know what to do, I have already taken it apart and tried to clean the laser eye, but that did nothing to help.

Anyone ever had this problem and been able to fix it?

I still have the big bulky version BTW.

Tiger Wood 05 was what got me started and I've grown to like the changes to the 06 version. It's the only game I play anymore on my xbox.

tdaniels, I had simular problems with my old ps2 and although it finally died about a year ago when if first gave me problems I found that I could adjust the spindle in the dvd drive to get the disc closer to the lens. This link http://www.cyber-mag.com/station/laserPS2.htm has all the info, there's a little wheel you adjust, just make sure not to get it so close that it touches the disc. My first ps2 (bought at launch) had a spindle misaligned and eventually ruined all my games by leaving the impression of the lens on the disc. Called Sony and they told me to ship it to them and all the bad games, replaced everything and this was probably 8 after the 90 day warranty expired.

I have '04 and '06 and think both are great. '06 has the edge with what you can do as far as courses and players. I wish they would get ride of the one course that is imposable to play well on.

Well I'm playing the PC version and I'm quite impressed thus far. Does anyone know if they (EA GAMES) will release addition course packs to add to the game?

(note to self: I wish to hell I could drive as straight and consistant as I do in the game)

I have the '06 version (PS2). I'm not as impressed with the graphics as some, but that's because I got spoiled playing Links on a good PC. Kinda makes TW '06 look like an old PacMan game. Gran Turismo 3 (and even more so, GT4) shows the graphics capability of the PS2 platform. Why couldn't the designer of TW'06 do it better?

But - I enjoy the game. Easy to play, and I like the accuracy of the controls. I feel the pain of those who want more controller customization. I'm left-handed, so the game sets up perfectly for me...

I don't do any online PS2 stuff, but could probably be talked into playing TW '06 with a group of non-cheaters (i.e. people who have loaded all the cheats).

BTW- there is a disclaimer on the product box that says they may discontinue the online features after '05. I haven't checked what the status of that decision is yet.

The 360 version is slightly watered down however the grpahics are amazing and the overall control is better than any other versions (ie its bloody harder).

07 will just be amazing when it hits the 360.

I gave my TW 2K4 away because it was unrealistic..or too easy..I do like how you can tweak your character..but for golf gamesplay it doesn't compare to Links 2003..which I still play.

I've been playing Shot Online 2006 on my pc lately. It's a free massive multi-player online game. Controls are simular to the old MS golf and quite fun. You build up your player with experience points simular to TW, I'm a lvl 17 player after about a week of on and off playing and my name on there is Durtman download it and add me to your buddy list www.shot-online.com

I'll play!! I'm currently building a character and stats as well. It's a bit frustrating sometimes but I love the game.

I have yet to try an online challenge so I look forward to it
