I love the boulders. They add a great asthetic touch and you cannot beat the price....

Rockford35 will become famous soon enough
That looks very similar to a couple courses in my neck of the woods, save the boulders. You'd have to go north to the Sheild to see anything like that in this province (6hrs+ north).

What type of trees are those? The ones that have dropped their leaves....

I'm sure it's beautiful other times of the year. I've been to your part of the world a couple of times and it's nice.

It does look very demanding. I'll bet when you go to other courses it helps your confidence though.

Rock, I think they are mostly some oaks, some maples, things like that. Tho, I know 2 things about trees, evergreens and the others... LOL

Dave, it does make other courses seem sort of low pressure. Besides the tight landing areas and small, guarded greens, this course has 2 holes that run parallel, that's it. Otherwise, every hole has woods, OB or water lining the faiways. The good thing about that, is that it's never crowded. My buddy and I walked it yesterday in like 3 hrs. The pic of the 18th green was stunning, just because there were people on it.

It's also great because the people who run it are always friendly and courteous. One of my biggest golfing per peeves is the additude in most pro shops that they are doing you a favor by doing business with you. Montlake was actually closed the day of these pics, but they have a standing agreement with us to go ahead and play and settle up whenever we see them. Great people.

Mr. Crowe

Are the rocks moveable obstructions? LOL
Looks like a challenge this piece of land. It's on my top 100 things to do before I die. (in the 90s )

Only if you're a likable bloke such as Tiger Woods. Grumpy horse's arses like me are on their own. This reminds me of a story about the bolders-- seeing the shot and all... My ball ends up just short of the middle boulder on the 17th green. The ball is sitting about 1.5 feet from the boulder with no chance of getting the ball up over it. So, I take a stance between the ball and the bunker with a gripped down 7 iron, aiming back towards the other boulders in the right of the picture, hit a stabby punch shot and bounce the ball off of the boulders, kicksing it left and onto the green.

As to the top 100 list, let me guess: Cindy Crawford, Ashley Judd, Wynona Judd, Hillary Clinton, Ted Dansen...
