Cool. Nice work.

Not to be a stickler, but the word "Entertainment" during the page load is spelled wrong.

Just FYI.

The graphics are great but you should let them into the home page without loading first. People don't like to wait.
Will you have a full ecommerce site? You tell the products you carry, will you show then also?
The home page could be a little more meaty, give some more info about yourself.
In the bio page, the scroll function is bar only. If I want to use the mouse wheel I can't.
I will look at it a little closer later.
It looks like it will be a very good site.

The whole thing is Flash so people are gonna have to wait.
Golf lessons on the 34th floor.....hehe If you could take a bucket up to the observation deck and crank a few it would bring all new meaning the the phrase, "taking it downtown"

It's nice and very professional but I think I'd at least have an html option, the flash can get a little ponderous.

I like the site too but agree with the others that the wait for the graphics to download is too long...and I have a pretty good connection at 2700K.

I like your business concept of a Manhattan-based golf company operating out of a skyscraper though.

Very innovative.

Thanks for everyone's comments so far. About loading and scrolling I'm not to sure how to change it. I never built a website before or worked with flash. I started 8 days ago for the first time. I'm just kinda happy it's working on somebody elses computer.

Oh, by the way. My wife didn't like either photo. I just needed something to put in for now. I never take offense to anything, I thought it was kinda funny.

Thanks

Looks nice. Everyone has told you about the loading. Links. If I wanted to sign up for a lesson, how do I get there? When I went to what I thought was the side menu my little arrow didn't turn into a hand. The link menu is up at the top, half covered by my toolbar. It looks better than mine http://www.nickelmove.com but could be easier to navigate. I put a nice simple form right out front. No real personal info, just basic contact info. Everywhere someone goes they get redirected back to it. How bout a little feedback on my useless site. I haven't had a customer from it in 3 months.

LOL! so did I.

OK, so I was thinking that you paid some city slicker big bucks to do that website for you....you did it yourself? If so, you did a great job but you need to make some changes. If you paid some one, fire them.

There are some really simple rules that you need to remember when building a website.

The first and most important thing to remember is that no one cares about you or your website. They only care about themselves and their problem. Whether it be thier crappy golf swing or they need a new pair of shoes for the opera.....that's all. They do not care about Flash.

Flash, in my opinion, is nothing but a demonstration of the webmasters skill. It gets in the way, don't use it.

Write these two sentences down and post them somewhere you can see them when you are working on a website...

1) The only reason my website exists is to solve my customers problem.

2) What problems does the page I am looking at, solve?

People need to be able to get to your website and figure out what it's about in 4 seconds (it used to be 10 but with broadband and all....) or they are moving on.

Take a look at Amazon.....they have spent zillions studying what works and what doesn't. If they don't use a web gizmo, why should you?

My favorite design site is something you should have a look at.

web pages that suck

It teaches you what NOT to do by showing you web pages that suck.....great site!

NYC is a big market, simplify your page and knock 'em dead.

Ironically that web page sucks. I couldn't find the link to see the web pages that sucked. I have mine set up to give a little info, read left to right, top to bottom and put in your d$% phone number or e-mail .

Very nice graphics. Other than what some of the others have said I noticed that the back button was never highlighted. It was still easy enough to navigate, I just thought is was odd that it wasn't an option.

My Softee mat arrived a few weeks ago I'm really enjoying it. Thanks again for the recommendation.

Yes I do agree with the flash assessments. It is cool LOOKING but to run a whole site in flash is not recommended in my book. Not necessarily just for the reasons sling mentions but this:

FLASH IS NOT CRAWLABLE. The web crawlers for the search engines like google, yahoo etc will have NO IDEA what your content is and you'll pretty much never show up on a search like that.
