I have started to take golf really seriously in the last two years. With my new driver i am hitting 250 on a good day. My ball will start straight and head straight down the fairway, but right at the end it will move left which puts me in the rought or the very edge of the fairway. I really only want to know how i can hit that shot but keep it staright right till it stops. I also am a lefty is the is a factor!
If its possible post your swing on here and we will tell you what your doing wrong.
If at first you don't suceed, spin around in circles.

Lefty with the ball moving left at the end?
Sounds like you got a bit of a fade. If it's more severe than that, then you've got a slice. There are actually a number of options you can go with here.
If you can consistently hit a little fade, that's not a bad thing. Golf isn't necessarily about hitting the ball perfectly straight, it's more about being able to consistently repeat a shot. There are many good players who will consistently play for a little fade shot, and some who like to put a little draw spin on the ball.
But if you're wanting to eliminate the fade, there are a couple of things you may need to address. A fade is most often cause by the clubhead traveling from the outside towards the inside, the clubhead cuts across the back of the ball and gives it the sidespin for a fade. Overcook that and you get more spin, and the fade turns into a slice.
You can take that out of your swing by either working on bringing the club farther inside when you start your downswing, so as to eliminate the clubhead starting from the outside and travelling in to the ball, or you can work on developing your ability to release your hands, turning them over. That requires a good sense of timing, though, and overall it might be better for you to get your swing to come more from the inside.

Thank you for all the input, and I will try the suggestions. I wish I could get my swing onto the internet, but have no idea how to. But up here the courses are drying up and should open within the next week or two, so I am looking forward to getting out and working on my swing.
