Wow! This game is mental!!

OK, Here's the deal. I started a thread last week asking about places to take a girl on a date, well, I asked her out and she said no. This totally crushed me ( I'm a junior in high shcool, btw), it happened Friday, we had a tournament (high school golf team) the following Monday (yesterday). Saturday I played a practice round at the course that the tournament is at with "I was rejected" still fresh on my mind and shot a 109! This got me worried given that my job on the team is to deliver a score somewhere in the 80 to 85 range. The night before the tournament while laying in bed I did something that I read Annika does before every tournement, I played the entire 18 holes, one shot at a time in my head, lying in my bed I shot a 74. The next morning during the tournament I stood with confidence over each shot able to say to myself "I know this, I did it last night." I shot a 76 for the day, two strokes from my literal "dream round" and 33 strokes from my practice round!

I now know first hand how true the old saying is. "Golf is 90% mental and the other 10% is mental". Playing with a shattered confidence, I shot worse than I have in probably a year, while having cleared my mind of the terrible incident and instead infused it with positive thoughts, I came back 2 days later, without changing my swing or equipment, and shot 33 strokes better. Wow, this game is crazy.

Thanks for your attention!

Copperas

Really! I mean, if you're gonna dream............

Supposedly, Hogan had a recurring dream where he birdied every hole except the last.

You jerks will never let this die!

How come she shot you down? Any reason? Be persistent, sometimes girls are "hard to get" and "impossible to figure out". Sometimes.

Dammit! I've just tried it and lost all my balls on the first tee.

And my wife thinks I'm a pessimist.

.

I had a dream last week I was playing with Tiger Woods. After we're done (apparently the course was in his backyard) he invites me in. I say "I have one question for you, where do you keep all those green jackets?" He says "in here". He opens his bedroom door and it looks just like mine, a pile of dirty laundry on the floor with a wrinkled up green jacket on the bottom. I said " I would have thought you would have a maid with all that money" He said "I fired her last week. She stole my toothbrush and sold it on Ebay"

I have some strange dreams.

This might explain why she shut me down. This is a picture of me after pasting a drive up the middle in a play off hole after the 76. It was a team playoff, I had never done, or heard of that before, but I parred, beat the guy I was paired against, my teammates just couldn't quite get it done, oh well, ther're Freshman, they did fine. The end result was that the team got 3rd after losing the playoff, I got 4th individual out of 60.

Go here, I'm the third picture from the bottom.

Thumbs up Cameron kid?

Hi Copperas, Who in the heck is this Cameron Scitern golfer. He seems to have alot of game for a young kid!

I guess this kid is on your golf team?

What grade is he in?

Looks like the Florida Gators might have a good player coming in a few years.

The golf scores and results are awsome on the website. Did he win all those tournaments?

The website I'm talking about is www.cameronsciterngolf.com
