With that swing and lack of power I'd have my house on it you've NEVER broken 80 my young friend. Be true to yourself!

PS, The EGO's here are a joke... There isn't a top coach alive who'd teach the FLOP to anyone more than a 5 handicap, thats of course if they wanted to improve their game.

Jeez fella's, some of you need to understand the fundimentals of the game! Go read Hogan's 5 Fundimentals, or my Coach Nick Bradleys "7 Laws of the Golf Swing" - then talk to me!!

Is this place really full of hackers with ego's? !!

You see... It's this sort of offensive arrogance that really discredits anything you might say that is of merit.

I'm seriously trying to glean value from your posts but it's almost as if you are speaking down to everyone from some high-lofted podium of superiority. Try and tone your speach to that of the "common folk" and you might find your comments more readily recieved.

To be blunt.... you're comming across like some stuck-up jackass.

My clubs work well, I don't need everything to be top of the range, and they look a better set than yours. I also have a 3 handicap official (GUI), I play in a lot of provincial tournaments, and I will give you a link when I'm next playing in one.

You seem the real one with the ego, you tell compulsive lies. We are here to talk golf not some jerk telling people what shots people can and can't play. Also I would be interested in seeing your swing before being so critical over others.

You really are quite stupid!

I don't lie - prove otherwise and I'll lick your clubs clean for a decade.

FYI I've played in the British Am at Woodhall Spa, I've been as low as +2, and I am coached by Nick Bradley. I've just returned from a 10 day coaching session at the Barefoot Resort in USA. I've played most of the Top 100 courses in GB & I, plus many of the USAs best. I played a pro am at Walton Heath last Wed and shot a 71 on the Old and a 68 on the new. I'm 33 years old and have been playing Golf since I was 11 - been coached all that time.... So I think I have a fairly good idea of the Golf Swing, Golf Business, Golf Technology, and can say what the hec I want to someone who I feel should focus on other shots rather than a FLOP - He DOESN'T appear to have the power to execute it!

To be fair,I also said that,so my fiesty english friend isn't alone.I'm off 1 and rarely play it,its a shot I play if I have to,no other reason, its a low percentage shot even for the pros.Mickelson is a very special player,it does make me chuckle seeing 60* wedges in 24 handciappers bags. Its an unneccessary club,I've said this before so i'm not jumping on a bandwagon.Opening up a 56 is hard enough. The better the player the more likely they are to get down into the ball with a longer club, such as a 9 iron. The 24 guy will try and flop a sand iron,go figure.

With all of 20 posts under your belt you are looking like an odds on favorite for becoming the asswipe of this forum. Don't get me wrong, we look forward to posts from our members who play the game well and can share their knowledge. What we don't care about or need is a lecture about how bad we are or a biography of how great you are.

Calling people stupid is well, stupid.

Dave the problem here in the US, is the rough around the greens. Sometimes you can't even see your ball. You have no option but to open up a 60 and hack it out. I and am very confident with this shot. I don't hole them very often, or get it to tap in range either, but they are still quality shots considering my options. The more you play it the more it creeps into your game. I seems to opt for the high option as much as I can, it's not always a lob, but a lofted pitch more than often is the shot I'll play because of the topography and rough of the courses here.

You're skating on incredibly thin ice here, PF.

Oakmont.

Inside joke, somewhat. A few years back, there was a tournament at Oakmont and they had some incredibly deep rough, something like 6-8" in places. Just disgusting. From that point onwards, any heavy rough around here we refer to as "oakmont".

Dude, you hit it right into the Oakmont.
