hands below the shoulders

On a recent lesson, the pro improved my stance and had me focus on having my arms hanging straight down below my shoulders to take the shot.

It seems almost impossible to make a drive with my arms here due to the length of the driver. However, it is much better when I use my irons.

Should the shot be the same when using drivers and woods or do you hang your arms out further ?

I would think you would have your hands out more, but keep the fundamental movements the same.

What I mean by this is don't swing your arms around and let everything get all loose and away from you, try and keep your swing straight.
