Club Making

I have given some thought to making my next set of irons. I checked out the latest Golfsmith irons and really like the looks of the 600 forged series. I know a guy who makes up sets of irons so I would have some help if I ran into problems.
He was going to make a set of irons using the 600 series heads so I will wait to see them. In the meantime if I get a good price on the RAC MB's I'll buy those.

As for the Rifle shafts, according to the local CPGA pro who works at the local golf store the Rifles will help lower the ball flight. So whether this holds true or not. I realize a higher kick point will lower the flight.

I was watching TGC while they were doing the shows at the PGA Merchandise Event and TrueTemper has that new lightweight shaft out. Now that might be worth looking in to as we get older! TrueTemper rep said you could take your DG shafts out of your irons, put the new SL shafts in and have the same ball flight. The shaft just makes your irons lighter which is not a bad thing as you grow older and your swing speed slows down.
WE AIN'T GETTING ANY YOUNGER!

Yes the TT TX90 is just below a 100g, so very lightweight for a steel shaft. It's also mid-bend point.
Since you live in Ontario, there's a shop in Waterloo called golfquip at www.golfquip.com
Prices are pretty good (though I can find better prices in the US, but there's the border tax problem), and they distribute Dynacraft products. The guy is pretty friendly and trustworthy. They also have a forum, though replies might take some time.

Anyways, if you need help or tips on clubmaking, just ask. I'm even considering making a little guide for those that are interested.

Components

I am about an hour or so from Waterloo. Currently I have looked at Golfsmiths products. I know they are good because one of the co owners of my home course uses their heads etc for his club building and he does a lot of irons.
Your info on assembly is great, that I will copy and print out. Look forward to the pictures.
