Thumbs up Golfing with other shottalkers :)

Well I played Sunday with siberiandvm and today with chollyred. You wont find better people to golf with than with other shottalk members !!

I always find it nice to play with new people and cant say enough how much I enjoyed the rounds with Jillian and Chuck.

check out the map at http://www.frappr.com/shottalk and set up a tee time with another STer and you you got it made.

LOL yeah I thought thats what you wanted. Chollyred took some pics and I am sure will upload them soon. Me? I have too many addictions to afford a camera, all my cash goes to greens fees first, smokes second, food third, and if any is left I pay the rent. And if I could quit the smoking would just play more golf . Since I played Sunday with doc, got in 36 on tuesday so I was ready to play today with Cholly, that means I only worked monday. And the parts for a job I am trying to finish didnt show today, really tempted to get out tomorrow, gonna really have to overbill someone somewhere.

BTW thought I was gonna have it together today. Warmed up on the range and driver was reasonably solid. Started out good, missing putts on #1 and 2 by no more than 3" (thats total distance, not line, inch and half per stroke), blew a 3 foot birdie, and still had a 43 on the front. Driver continued to get worse and worse, just cannot for the life of me stay over the ball. When I am not falling off it because of swinging too hard, I roll the club over to closed and top/pull to the right (I am a lefty). I know it is in my timing and rhythm, just not getting it together on the course (pretty solid on the range, gotta be all mental ). Did hit the greens rather well though, and was on in one on all the par threes except the first that was about six foot wide. Back nine a disappointing 47 for a 90. But the company was first class.

anyway enough rambling. Look forward to cholly posting the pics.
And pics of me are always available at the post office

Sorry it's taken so long to reply to this thread. I've been on vacation this week and haven't been on the computer.

It was great meeting and playing with Doug. Despite my horrid game, I really enjoyed the course and the company. I could NOT get off the tee all day. Made some decent irons shots, but was constantly topping all of my woods, Right around the turn, I did manage to put together a short string of pars. Unfortunately, this course (The Chimneys) requires some decent drives to carry trouble. For most folks, it's probably not too bad, but for me it was disastrous.

Won't talk about the score.

Unfortunately, I'm on the slowest dial-up line in the world. I'll wait until I get into the office to upload the pics.

Again, it was a pleasure playing with Doug. As soon as I get my ball striking back, we'll get together again! Thanks again, Doug.

Okay, here are the pics....

Didn't take any swing pics. I'm afraid they would've been too embarassing.

Ha Ha. My dad is the same way. He is just not all that concerned about shoes and new equipment. He still whips my butt though. Thanks for the pics guys. It's always cool to see other Shottalker's out on the course. Nsherman and I didn't get any pics when we went out. I was too concerned about not embarassing myself... Anyone wanting to play in New England, I'm game. I can possibly get my dad to put together a foursome. I have to convince him to at least wear semi-appropriate attire when we go to nicer courses. Of course having a $2200 bag full of blades probably has people thinking I can play, then I prove otherwise.

Definitely. Let's put up a small match wager, I'll need gas $$ (deisel actually) LOL. We'll need the course layout to plan it. Nsherman's got the 300yd. draw and I got the 300yd. fade. If I can get it together with the short game we would compliment each other to a T.

LOL yeah I did wear an old pair that day, but the heels are bit thicker and tend to keep the weight on the toes better (been fighting to stay over the ball on the drive and losing the battle). But thats not dirt, it pine pollen (greenish yellow). I had wiped them down with some silicone waterproofer right before the round so they didnt look so ratty and the pollen stuck like glue. It is like southern snow down here, I have seen the pollen almost in drifts on the cart path.
