Should make for an interesting weekend, putting and reading

Well, I decided not to Pimp my Putter quite yet. I'll give it one more chance. I tried about 15 different putters for over an hour and am not convinced any where better than my current. I was amazed how light the head on the 2-ball putters were, they are lighter than the older models as well as my #4. The mallet model may be heavier, but it does not have an offset model like the old Anser, which I like. I regripped my old one with the original Odyssey grip and cut off about 1/2 the lead tape I just put on a few months ago. If I were to pick one it would be the Ping Craz-E which is heavier but they didn't have it in a 33" at Golfsmith, so my current one gets one more chance. It served me well for 4 of the 5 years I've played, maybe it just had an off year.

If nothing else, I did get an Amazon Shipment of Penick's Green and Blue Books (already have the Red), and the Nicklaus - Golf My Way. Should keep me busy for a while. They had a 3-5 week wait on Armours - A round of Golf book and Watson's was about $50 new as I think it is no longer printed, so I will keep my eyes peeled for those, as they are what I really wanted. If nothing else, Pelz's (or Satan as some on here would attest) new "Damage Control" book will be out shortly. I can probably use that up on these courses.

Also picked up Jim Brown's 24/7 book, kinda like a Survivor gone astray. Should make for an interesting weekend. Hopefully I will not need to Excorcise my putter.

I'm sorry, but you said something about doing something this weekend other than watching the Masters? Heresy!

I need something to do at night and when there is no coverage. Lord knows there is usually nothing of value on TV on Saturday Except for the Masters. Sunday nights are better but I would still rather read a book. Actually, I will probably read it when Survivor is on TV as that show ran it's course years ago. I actually usually do Audio Books, but this one is not readily available. I am looking forward to the Masters this year, it seems like there are alot more talented players going in this year that can make a difference.
