    Great article on JM Olazabel

I had a great time watching one of my alltime favorites come on strong during the last round of the Masters. Great article on him....

Nice!!! He was my pick, just a little to much to Overcome from the first day. I guess I would have had a chance at the mug with Olazabal, Mickleson, Goosen, had I not Picked Jerry Kelly for my underdog, when he was not even in the tournament

    Yeouch!!

Our picks were identical on our first three...and I had Mike Weir who finished one stroke out of 10th.

One of the greatest things about Olazabel is his comeback from his medical condition...and he is so well liked by so many of the players. I think he has a good 3-4 years left in him.

Yes, I wasn't going to mention that Jerry Kelly snafu but as long as you brought it up......wtf?
There is a very fine line between "hobby" and "mental illness."

  5. Nice article B, thanks.
Doctors say that you should eat 5 pieces of fruit or veg a day to remain healthy. Last week I ate 5 mouldy plums and that night I shat the bed. What's healthy about that?:shocked::shocked:

Viewed In the context of the final day, back nine, white heat of competition, coming down the stretch and needing to force something to happen - Olazabal's 2nd to the 15th was my shot of the tournament 249 yards stiff to 3 feet.
Never argue with an idiot. They drag you down to their level, then beat you with experience.

I hear ya, but I also thought Hefty's tee shot on 16 was majestic. He could have (maybe even should have) played for the middle of the green, but he just ripped it at the flag, showing how supremely confident he was with his swing.

Have to say though that he followed that with the most nervey putt I have ever seen him hit. A real twitcher, and when he hit it he was begging for it to stop by the hole. Only his laundress will really know, I guess!!

Just goes to show how even one of the best putters in the world is "caking it" standing over those putts.

Yeah good point - I thought first of all he'd lay up on #15, but took it on. Strange thing about 16 this year was that everyone seemed to be flying it straight at the flag as opposed to previous years when they left it high and let the ball feed down. I hadta smile at Phil on 16 and the hand out imploring it to stop, would've understood if it was racing 8-10 feet past, but it only trickled to 3 feet or so.

I have a feeling he has at least 1 more major in him this year. If he wins The Open @ Hoylake I think he will be rightly viewed as one of the modern greats. It's a big turnaround for a guy who was saddled with the title of the greatest player never to win a major
