USGA increases limit on Clubhead MOI....

What does this mean?????I saw the story on ESPN.....MOI stands for Moment of Inertia....Will someone please explain this.....Thanks

It means less spin on drives. Even more forgiving drivers on the way, so if you're on the fence about buying a new driver...hold off because it will be obsolete in 3months.

I felt all they were doing is keeping the MOI in check. The increased it to make sure all of today's legal drivers are conforming, and that's that.

Thus in the future, someone won't be able to come up with something later that might bend it. By the USGA's own admission, it's not that big a deal. Just another hard line parameter in order to keep clubmakers reeled in.
