ok, here comes the point of this thread, today, went out for breakfast at this place, then on the way home stop at dicks sporting goods, main intention was to get a medicine ball to help me work on my upper body, the fitness section is right next to the golf section so i went in and was trying out putters, i had recently narrowed down my selections to about three or four models, i compared each of them in a how many out of ten can i hit with each one from about 8 feet away, and i hit all ten with......... an oddysey dual force rossie 2, so for about 80 bucks i took it home, nice guy that worked there gave me a headcover for it, since the rossie, is fairly old, the original headcover wasn't there, so i ended up with one for a white steel putter, great times, have a good weekend everyone |
80 is ok? I thought you were like a 5 handicap or something? Hell, i'm a 10 and im barely satisfied with an 80 on my par 70 course. 43 on the front i'd be kicking myself for at least, the 2 over on the back was good. Anyway, i have owned tons of putters, most recently a ping craz-e, and decided to try everything i have out to see how many 12 footers i can drain out of 20. The putter i decided worked best, an Odyssey White Hot #3, missed the first one and then sunk 19 in a row. I should have kept going just to see how many i made, but i wanted to be fair, so i tried them all out. Second best was my Snake Eyes MCS1(newport syle). I think mallet putters are hyped up way too much, same for hybrid clubs. Though i do have to admit that the ping had the best grip in the world. Also, as for the blades, you probably will hit them 1-1.5 clubs shorter than your taylormades because most blades have weaker lofts and shorter lengths, but i think they will do wonders for your ballstriking and soon you will get that distance back. My mizunos also launch much higher than my TaylorMade 200 steels, but i would guess that is because of the weaker lofts and also because i am swinging more for accuracy thatn for distance with blades(it's a psychological thing) JMO.
