I just had to get taken up to the hospital... (Luckily we get free healthcare in GB)

I was out for a round with one of my mates and a boy in my year... He's not my mate, but I don't, well..... didn't hate him... As a joke, my mate took his putter out his bag, and put it in mine... This guy hated that... He rugby tackled me when he found out... I had my putter in my hand (Odyssey 2-Ball... You know the shape...) which I dropped. He continued to pick it up, and whack me, as hard as he could, twice (with the head of the putter) in my leg. I couldn't walk after this, and had to get an ambulance up to the hospital... I was lying on the 9th tee, in pain, for about 15 minutes, waiting for it to come. This guy just walked away.... Laughing... Fortunately, my mate was there to help. He got my phone out of my bag and phoned first, for the ambulance, second, my mum and dad.

Just shows what can (shouldn't... but CAN) happen on a golf course...

Did you press charges against the guy?
Here in the U.S. that little tirade would've landed him an overnight stay in the local jail... show him how funny it was then.

As it is, I'd have your folks get in touch with his folks and tell them that they're going to pay for your medical bills at least...

Jerks like that belong somewhere other than within the human race.

Anyway, if I were you, I'd do something about it... if the kid is getting away with crap like that at 13 years old, then chances are he's going to get to be an even bigger jerk as he gets older unless he's put in his place.

You're handling it pretty well though... nobody usually plans on being battered while playing golf.

Here in Canada, healthcare is free too. But I would definitely press charges if I were you. Being 13 is not an excuse for violent acts.

Man if I was your friend, mate, whatever you wanted to call me I would have laid my wedge into this kids head. How bad is the leg???? I would be pretty mad if some kid whacked my leg with a putter and prevented me from playing the greatest game ever because of his stupid actions.. just my thoughts

A 13 year old did that? Okay here is what we know for sure. He is 13 years old, he beat a kid with a club over a practical joke on the golf course. Here are some things to think about.

A- The kid is Sbag and will never be worth a dam in life. If you do that at 13 there is no correcting you.

B- He doesn't understand the comradery and true meaning of Golf.

C- You better kick the ever living S*** out of that kid in the very near future.
