The parking lot

At least 2 people, everytime I go to the course, leave either their trunk (boot) or the drivers side door on their vehicle, open.

Open the door, tie the shoes, walk away.

I always get a chuckle out of it and thusfar haven't located any cash.

My co-worker and golf partner, when he was drinking, he is on the wagon now, always kept forgetting his clubs on the course always around the green, wedges. He got the club back everytime. Someone would find it and return it to the clubhouse. The best part on one ocassion he was using some elses clubs.

Soz for going off-topic, but I had to pick up on this

What other American terms are different to what we might say across the Atlantic ?

I'll start:

footpath / sidewalk

petrol station / gas station

sofa / couch

soft drink / soda

Can anyone else think of anymore ??

Ok... Thanks! Can't wait. I saw the 58* model in the pro shop at my club today, and it looks cool! What type of grip does it have? Because I didn't particularly like the one that they had. It would do, though...

It is probs the same grip; the stock grip - Lamkin Crossline Classic half-cord. Used to have that same grip on my 400cc Launcher & loved it. They are quite difficult to come by these days, those grips !

Just brought the wedge out to look at again - it really is in great nick. Feels and looks great - I'll be sad to see it leave....

Depends. We have biscuits and we have cookies. I'm not sure which you're talking about.

Garage is a "carhold", right gov?

They also pronounce shit crazy too.

Try saying this:

"I put my aluminum jaguar in the garage using the elevator. Someone had broken the hood latch and smashed the windshield. Time for some cookies."

"Put the allu-mini-um jag-goo-arr in the car hold using the lift. Some bloke had gone and buggered the boot latch and smashed the windscreen. Biscuits, I say."
